Lamers Dairy Gallon Giveback will provide milk to support local food bank

Gallon Giveback campaign will donate a top requested item to St. Joseph Food Program

One of the top requested items at food banks is milk, but it is rarely donated due to refrigeration and temperature needs. Lamers Dairy in Appleton is ready to make a difference with the Gallon Giveback campaign.

From October 13, 2025 to October 25, 2025, Lamers Dairy customers can provide a monetary donation at the Lamers Dairy Country Store which will be matched by Lamers Dairy (dollar for dollar) to cover up to 250 total gallons of milk to St. Joseph Food Program. The Gallon Giveback culminates on October 25 which also happens to be National Make a Difference Day.

“We’ve always believed in helping to support our local community by giving back and we hope the Gallon Giveback program will make a difference right here in our local community by providing one of the most requested foods to those in need,” shared Mark Lamers, President, Lamers Dairy.

Customers can visit the Lamers Dairy Country Store at N410 Speel School Road in Appleton off of Highway 441 and College Avenue (CE) to find support the Gallon Giveback program by providing monetary donations. The store is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Cones for a Cause Program Returns at Lamers Dairy in June 2025

Proceeds from Cones for a Cause will benefit St. Joseph Food Program in the Fox Cities

Lamers Dairy in Appleton, WI, is proud to bring back its Cones for a Cause program during June Dairy Month. Committed to giving back to the local community its served since 1913, Lamers Dairy will donate proceeds from the 2025 Cones for a Cause campaign to St. Joseph Food Program which helps local Fox Valley families in need.

In celebration of June Dairy Month, from June 1 to June 30, small soft serve ice cream cones will be discounted to 50-cents each (cash only) at the Lamers Dairy Country Store on Speel School Road in Appleton. Lamers Dairy’s delicious soft serve ice cream is made with their award-winning rBGH-free milk and cream produced from local family farms in Northeast Wisconsin, all within 30 miles of the dairy.

“Serving our friends and neighbors in the Fox Valley has always been at the heart of what we do here at Lamers Dairy,” said Mark Lamers, President, Lamers Dairy. “We are blessed to continue this work and be able to give back locally to St. Joseph Food Program to help others in need.”

June Dairy Month began in 1937 as a national campaign to promote drinking milk and has since become an annual month-long tradition to recognize and honor the dairy industry.

The Cones for a Cause program will be part of a lineup of other events and store promotions happening at Lamers Dairy throughout the month of June. Follow Lamers Dairy on Facebook (@LamersDairy) and Instagram (@lamersdairy) for the latest updates.

The Lamers Dairy Country Store is located at N410 Speel School Road in Appleton, off of Highway 441 and East College Avenue. Look for the big red barn located behind Lowes and Festival Foods. The store is open on Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

High-Quality Milk Remains a Top Priority at Lamers Dairy

High-Quality Milk Remains a Top Priority at Lamers Dairy

At Lamers Dairy, we are committed to continue providing customers with high-quality milk and other dairy products.

We operate a Grade A facility and are regulated by the FDA, USDA and WI DATCP. We conduct daily testing of each farm and our finished products for components, microbiological, and antibiotic residuals that exceed governmental requirements. Our products are also tested at an independent lab and verified monthly with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture.

Recent headlines in the media may have heightened consumer concern relating to the FDA suspending proficiency testing, particularly with fluid milk and dairy products. Rest assured, the majority of our regulatory testing at Lamers Dairy is done by the state of Wisconsin and the USDA. Those programs continue to regularly conduct inspections, despite what has been documented about the FDA. In fact, Lamers Dairy just had a routine product inspection and testing conducted recently on April 22, 2025.

While the recent headlines and articles have certainly induced concern, regulatory testing with the typical agencies is still in place for our products from Lamers Dairy.

We take great care to ensure our products meet the highest standards in the industry. It’s our product integrity that has allowed us to be in business for 112 years. We will never compromise the quality standards of our products, regardless of any shifts in the responsibilities of these federal agencies (including the FDA). Lamers Dairy is not changing any of our processes and will continue to produce the high-quality, award-winning milk and other dairy products that we’ve been proud to offer since 1913.

Bagel Brunch Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4-5 day-old bagels (cheddar herb works well)
  • 1 pound mild Italian sausage
  • 1/2 onion, cut in thin slices
  • 1 red pepper, cut in thin slices
  • 1 red pepper, cut in julienne
  • 2 cups Italian blend shredded cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 9 eggs
  • 2-1/2 cups Lamers Dairy Dairyland’s Best Whole Milk
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Cook sausage and drain. Remove from the pan.
  2. Sauté onion and peppers.
  3. While the vegetables are cooking, generously butter a 9×13 baking dish. Cut the bagels in half
vertically. Turn each half-moon shaped bagel on its side and slice it into 6 thin slices. Arrange half
of the bagel slices on the bottom of the dish. Butter one side of each of the remaining slices and
    set aside.
  4. Combine the sausage, onion and peppers. Add 1-3/4 cups of the cheese and sprinkle over the
    layer of bagel slices.
  5. Arrange the remaining bagel slices buttered side up over the meat, vegetable and cheese mixture.
  6. Whisk together eggs, Lamers Dairy Dairyland’s Best Whole Milk, salt and pepper. Pour evenly
    over the dish.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Remove from refrigerator one hour before baking.
  9. Bake uncovered in 350-degree oven for 45 minutes. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cheese over the
top and bake for an additional 5 minutes (or until a knife comes out clean). Serve hot.

NOTE: If you use a plain bagel, add Italian spices to the egg and milk mixture.

Enjoy!
